Wonderful 80th Birthday Party
80th

As one of the Cheverelli ancestors would say, “Ima so happy.” That is Italian for I am so happy.

Happy you all came to help me celebrate moving into second place on my branch of the family tree longevity list, happy many of you are not able to read or you willfully ignored rules about “no gifts”, happy to read the kind sentiments in the birthday cards, happy to read the “tongue-in-cheek” sentiments in the birthday cards, happy with the weather, and happy you are who you are.

The BIG check, the gift cards, the Godiva chocolate (almost a third gone already), the clever caps, and the slogan T-shirt will be put to good use. I am unable to extract the silver dollar from its plastic cover so I guess it is supposed to be a paper weight – clever. I will be careful with the compact Swiss army knife.

I guess the old saying that time flies when you are having fun was proven – we had a hectic ending because of the need to clear the room by 3:30. If you all derived just half the enjoyment that I did, you had a good time.

Special thanks to Jim Wallace for discovering that I did not turn on the speakers. I was about to really panic.  Polly’s entertainment was in real jeopardy because the ARIES guy does not perform well in a supportive role – he does much better when “in charge”. May the force be with you – all of you.

Here is our group picture: It will go into my genealogy CD.
80th Grp Shot.jpg Maybe the photographer (Jessica) did not see that Andy and Tracey could have moved a little to their left. It is another treasured picture regardless.

The table center pieces from Sue with the golf quiz was really neat and kept Jeff alert and awake. Thank you sister Sue and brother Bill.

Extra special thanks to my dearest Polly for all her effort and care so this event could happen. Thanks for the great music Brad. Looking forward to the TV you captured. Thanks to Steve for helping with clean-up.
